Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Act as the main contact for members, providers, and pharmacies through phone, chat, email, and written communication.

• Address inquiries related to mail order, benefit design, formulary coverage, medication costs, prior authorization requirements, and claims processing.

• Assist network pharmacies in processing prescription claims and verify claims for accuracy.

• Support clinical pharmacists with outreach to patients and providers, appointment scheduling, enrollment in clinical programs, and follow-up on medication adherence.

• Record interactions and resolutions in internal systems to ensure continuity of care, quality assurance, compliance, and reporting.

• Manage issues from initial contact to final resolution, collaborating with internal teams as required.

• Utilize AI-powered tools and internal knowledge systems to address inquiries and document interactions.

• Promote a collaborative, respectful, and diverse team environment while completing assigned projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active/Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, NHA).

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a health plan, retail pharmacy, TPA, or PBM contact center.

• Familiarity with pharmacy claims processing, benefit design, and PBM terminology.

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and analytical in approach.

• Capable of identifying and addressing root causes.

• Proficient in managing phone, chat, and email queues while multitasking and prioritizing effectively.

• Able to support multiple lines of business and adapt to changing priorities.
