Pharmacist, Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Perform clinical assessments of medication therapies and review prior authorization requests in accordance with established clinical guidelines and Preferred Drug List criteria.

• Engage in peer-to-peer conversations with healthcare providers concerning prior authorization evaluations, clinical assessments, and suitable medication therapies.

• Deliver clinical pharmacy consultations and interventions.

• Analyze prior authorization data to pinpoint prescribing trends and opportunities for intervention.

• Provide pharmacy expertise to support Clinical Call Center and Prior Authorization operations.

• Facilitate communications with members, providers, and internal teams.

• Collaborate with Medical Directors, Clinical Pharmacists, Clinical Specialty Pharmacists, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Uphold clinical integrity and promote best practices within the pharmacy program.

• Identify and advocate for quality and operational enhancements that improve pharmacy programs and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with relevant specialty experience.

• Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the applicable state.

• Minimum of four years of clinical pharmacy experience.

• Experience in conducting clinical evaluations utilizing recognized drug compendia, clinical guidelines, and clinical trial data.

• Excellent analytical, research, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to convert clinical findings into actionable recommendations.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Ability to quickly adapt to proprietary systems.

• Willingness to work Eastern Time Zone hours.
