Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Accurately process new prescriptions, refills, and discontinuations.

• Ensure complete and compliant patient medication profiles are maintained.

• Handle a high volume of inbound calls from hospice partners, prescribers, and clinical staff.

• Triage and resolve routine service inquiries while appropriately escalating complex issues.

• Provide outstanding customer service through effective communication and active listening.

• Utilize de-escalation techniques in urgent or emotionally charged situations.

• Achieve service level, quality, productivity, and documentation standards.

• Employ pharmacy systems and internal tools to manage workflows and document activities.

• Identify service issues and collaborate with operations leadership on resolutions.

• Engage in training, system updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support hospice pharmacy operations, ensuring patient safety and timely care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare environment.

• At least 2 years of recent experience as a pharmacy technician.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or EXCPT) is mandatory.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Clear and effective verbal communication abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a calm and empathetic demeanor.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, call-driven setting.

• Experience with pharmacy systems, patient records, or workflow platforms.

• Strong customer-focused problem-solving skills.

• Ability to confidentially handle sensitive patient and clinical information.

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to documentation standards.

• Effective collaboration skills with pharmacists and colleagues.
