Pharmacy Network Manager – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Supervise and enhance the collaboration with pharmacies involved in the Hoʻōla Utelehealth Substance Use Disorder (HUT-SUD) program.

• Collaborate closely with clinical pharmacists at partner locations regarding all matters pertaining to SUD clinical pharmacist management.

• Oversee reimbursement processes for medications funded through the HUT-SUD program.

• Manage stockpiling and logistical aspects effectively.

• Work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential extended hours as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be residents of Hawaii.

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.

• Residency-trained clinical pharmacist.

• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license issued by the Hawaii Board of Pharmacy.

• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.

• At least two (2) years of experience as a practicing clinical pharmacist, or completion of an accredited pharmacy residency program.

• Preferred: Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), Psychiatric Pharmacy (BCPP), or Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP).

• Preferred: Experience in managing OUD/SUD, addiction medicine, behavioral health, or primary care.

• Preferred: Experience with MOUD, including management of buprenorphine and naltrexone throughout all treatment phases.

• Preferred: Knowledge in controlled substance inventory management or pharmacy dispensing within a clinical environment.

• Proficiency in advanced physical and mental health assessment skills, including the interpretation of physical findings, vital signs, and standardized withdrawal instruments (COWS, SOWS).

• In-depth understanding of pharmacotherapy for opioid use disorder, including FDA-approved MOUD, clinical practice guidelines (e.g., SAMHSA TIP 63), and evidence-based care standards.

• Ability to utilize PDMP data, UDS results, and pertinent laboratory findings in clinical decision-making.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills; capability to effectively engage interdisciplinary team members.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems, including shared documentation practices.

• Familiarity with Hawaii state pharmacy law governing collaborative practice, controlled substances, and dispensing (HRS Chapter 461, HRS Chapter 329).

• Knowledge of DEA regulations regarding controlled substance ordering, storage, dispensing, recordkeeping, and disposal (21 CFR Parts 1300–1321).

• Preferred: Awareness of telehealth service delivery platforms.

• Preferred: Experience with CSOS electronic controlled substance ordering.
