This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
β’ Interpret and assess physician medication orders for therapeutic suitability, cost efficiency, precision, safety, and thoroughness.
β’ Execute computer order entry, labeling, and dispensing in accordance with policies, procedures, and State Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
β’ Initiate, review, and update documentation; share clinical and technical information with healthcare team members and patients.
β’ Collaborate with product procurement and reimbursement teams regarding payor-specific formulary products and their availability.
β’ Engage in patient evaluations, product and device selection, and supply management.
β’ Coordinate medication preparation and delivery alongside admission teams and nursing agencies.
β’ Oversee pharmacy support personnel in sterile compounding, packaging, labeling, procurement, product utilization, and inventory management when assigned clean room duties.
β’ Adhere to USP 797 cleanroom policies and maintain quality assurance documentation.
β’ Ensure the security of legend items and legally mandated records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
β’ Abide by FDA regulations and manufacturer constraints on specific medications.
β’ Take part in performance enhancement activities, educational programs, and departmental or branch meetings.
β’ Aid in the training and orientation of new employees.
β’ Carry out other assigned responsibilities, including on-call duties.
β’ Minimum of 1 year experience in Clinical Pharmacy.
β’ Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
β’ Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
β’ Skilled in writing and presenting information to managers, patients, nurses, and physicians.
β’ Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
β’ Active Pennsylvania pharmacy license in good standing.
β’ Must reside in Pennsylvania or Florida.
β’ Current licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania.
β’ Willingness to acquire additional state pharmacist licenses, with costs covered by CVS.
β’ Experience in an IV alternative site setting is preferred.
β’ Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited Pharmacy School.
