This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Partner with Financial Modeling teams to deliver market intelligence, clinical insights, and strategic assumptions for intricate manufacturer models.
• Oversee analytical frameworks for portfolios consisting of 2 to 20+ products per manufacturer.
• Perform thorough analysis of FDA approval pipelines and trends in therapeutic areas.
• Predict long-term demand patterns and the impact on manufacturers across McKesson's distribution channels.
• Convert clinical trial data and regulatory timelines into practical business intelligence.
• Provide guidance on optimal distribution channel placement between Brand and Specialty Distribution.
• Assess manufacturer channel requests in relation to product requirements and McKesson's strategic goals.
• Act as a strategic consultant to product strategy, pricing, FP&A, and distribution planning teams.
• Address intricate product inquiries and supply analytical insights for enterprise-level decision-making.
• Establish and uphold deal parameters for manufacturer negotiations.
• Contribute market context and qualitative insights for deal evaluation and risk assessment.
• Keep track of pharmaceutical industry trends and competitor strategies.
• Integrate market insights to guide strategic recommendations.
• Stay informed on developments in therapeutic areas, pricing dynamics, and access trends.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A degree or equivalent, generally necessitating 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Fewer years of experience may be acceptable if the candidate possesses relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications.
• At least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare distribution, and/or management consulting with a focus on life sciences.
• A Licensed Pharmacist is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in complex financial modeling and business case development.
• A history of translating clinical and market data into strategic business recommendations.
• Experience collaborating with established pharmaceutical manufacturers and knowledge of product lifecycle management.
• Success in cross-functional collaboration and internal consulting roles.
• In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, including pricing, reimbursement, and channel distribution strategies.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the capability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Expert knowledge of FDA regulatory processes and timelines for pharmaceutical product development.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling tools and data visualization platforms.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to executive audiences.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance various stakeholder perspectives.
• Familiarity with both brand and specialty pharmaceutical distribution models.
