This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
β’ Assist in the support of CMS pharmacy stars measures.
β’ Carry out outreach calls to members to enhance medication adherence.
β’ Execute routine tasks related to the packaging, distribution, and record management of pharmaceutical supplies.
β’ Aid in the preparation of compounded, intravenous, total parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapeutic medications.
β’ Process physician medication orders in the medication management system under the supervision of a pharmacist.
β’ Evaluate and develop potential recommendations for physicians with pharmacist oversight.
β’ Deliver medication-related information to physicians, nurses, and other personnel under pharmacist supervision.
β’ Select and prepare medications based on patient medication orders.
β’ Replenish medications, trays, code carts, emergency boxes, and automated dispensing technology.
β’ Investigate discrepancies in medication requests and automated dispensing.
β’ Answer phone inquiries and provide assistance to customers.
β’ Oversee medication and supply inventory, including the receipt and restocking of orders.
β’ Compound specialty drug products and repackage bulk medications as needed.
β’ Prepare and label intravenous, total parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapy orders using sterile and aseptic techniques.
β’ Conduct pharmacy quality control checks and document refrigerator temperatures, hood cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
β’ Engage in medication selection, procurement, storage, dispensing, and monitoring procedures.
β’ Must be enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
β’ Hold a current and unrestricted pharmacy intern license in the state of practice.
β’ Arizona candidates are required to present the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at the time of hire.
β’ Strong organizational, problem-solving, computer, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
β’ Familiarity with medication management information system software, Microsoft applications, and automated dispensing systems is necessary.
β’ Employees at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card upon hiring and maintain it throughout their employment.
β’ An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
β’ Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
β’ Additional training in specialty areas is advantageous.
β’ Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
β’ Flexible scheduling options available.
β’ This is a remote position, allowing work from home.
β’ Commitment of 8 hours per week during business hours, with the possibility of 4 or 8 hour shifts.
