Pharmacist Consultant – CarelonRx

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in disease management initiatives and support physicians’ treatment plans through evaluation and consultation on drug therapies for program participants.

• Analyze members’ prescription requirements and treatment plans by examining medication histories to assess their appropriateness.

• Evaluate member adherence to treatment plans through direct communication with both members and physicians.

• Identify potential obstacles to compliance and propose effective solutions.

• Ensure that members are informed about the proper usage of their current prescriptions.

• Collaborate with physicians to review medications when therapies fall short of national standards.

• Advise physicians on alternative medication options.

• Act as a resource for the clinical team in disease management and other clinical domains.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Pharmacy and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• A current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the relevant state(s) is mandatory.

• PharmD is preferred.

• Experience in a call center environment is highly valued.

• Proficient computer skills are necessary.

• Availability to work Monday–Friday, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM EST after the training period.

• Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the job location unless a legal accommodation is provided.
