Pharmacist, Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure adherence to both state and federal regulations, including Medicaid standards.

• Conduct clinical assessments of medication therapy, encompassing prior authorization evaluations and drug utilization analyses.

• Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with healthcare providers.

• Facilitate outreach to prescribers for targeted clinical interventions.

• Offer clinical support to call center personnel.

• Address pharmacy-related inquiries and manage escalations.

• Play a role in quality enhancement initiatives and program optimization efforts.

• Establish best practice guidelines.

• Assist in state meetings.

• Help with state-mandated deliverables associated with account operations.

• Extend broader clinical and operational assistance beyond prior authorization duties.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve program efficacy and patient outcomes.

• Ensure pharmacy strategies are in line with regulatory mandates and organizational goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in clinical pharmacy is mandatory.

• In-depth knowledge of clinical pharmacy programs, drug utilization reviews, and regulatory standards is essential.

• Prior experience with Medicaid/Medicare pharmacy programs or PBM settings is preferred.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities are required.

• Must be available to work from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM CST for prior authorization coverage.

• Position is remote-based within the United States.

• Clinical expertise in pharmacy and knowledge in medication management is necessary.
