Pharmaceutical Medical Science Liaison – Dry Eye

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture peer-to-peer connections with medical professionals and key opinion leaders.

• Assist in the development and promotion of Alcon products through scientifically sound exchanges.

• Deliver general medical information in relevant therapeutic areas to healthcare practitioners and address unsolicited inquiries for medical data.

• Participate in scientific discussions regarding Alcon product information.

• Execute medical projects and manage investigator trials from initiation to publication.

• Collaborate with Medical Information and Medical Safety teams to address escalated product complaints and medical safety concerns.

• Oversee human clinical trials, phases III and IV, for products under development by the company.

• Act as a medical advisor to marketing, commercial, or research project teams, as well as government regulatory bodies.

• Effectively coordinate with all Medical Affairs functions and departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.

• 7 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.

• MD or OD with a focus on Ophthalmology (preferred).

• Advanced knowledge of dry eye conditions, including ophthalmic surgical procedures and optometry.

• Experience within the fields of ophthalmology or optometry.

• Familiarity with the Healthcare System, research methodologies, as well as ICH guidelines, GCP, and other ethical standards.

• Comprehensive understanding of clinical trial design, product development, regulatory standards, payer dynamics, and lifecycle management.

• Experience in delivering scientific presentations and foundational knowledge in medical writing and biostatistics.

• Proven capability and experience in building and maintaining credible peer-to-peer relationships with Medical Experts and decision-makers.
