This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Deliver personal financial services at designated military installations.
• Offer personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Conduct individualized counseling and consultations with commanders, providers, and staff.
• Facilitate briefings and presentations.
• Provide referral resources beyond counseling sessions.
• Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program objectives and installation requirements are fulfilled.
• Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Organize, promote, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
• Address requests for age-appropriate classes and seminars.
• Provide virtual counseling and electronic communication as authorized.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
• Engage with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision.
• Share insights regarding installation trends and issues.
• Participate in in-service training, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• An Associate degree along with 4 years of experience may be considered as a substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
• A high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may also be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience is required.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required if specified by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must possess one of the following credentials: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is necessary.
