This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Provide coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios for military requirements.
• Offer personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions and consultations with commanders, providers, and staff.
• Facilitate briefings, presentations, classes, and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
• Supply referral resources in addition to counseling sessions.
• Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended deployments.
• Develop and disseminate informational financial materials.
• Organize and promote Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• Provide virtual counseling through secure web-based chat, video communications, and authorized secure video teleconferencing.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and engage in individual and group supervision.
• Share trends and issues impacting assigned installations.
• Participate in in-services, training sessions, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• An associate degree combined with 4 years of experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree.
• A high school diploma along with 6 years of experience may also be considered instead of a bachelor's degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial counseling is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is necessary if specified by the contract.
• Capability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Ability to successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
• Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is required.
