This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Provide coverage in short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements.
• Offer personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Deliver individualized counseling and consultations with commanders, providers, and staff.
• Conduct briefings, presentations, classes, seminars, and workshops.
• Supply referral resources to participants.
• Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program scope and installation needs are fulfilled.
• Aid service members in creating spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial resources.
• Coordinate and promote Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
• Provide age-appropriate classes and seminars upon request.
• Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication methods when permitted.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
• Communicate with leadership and engage in individual and group supervision.
• Share trends and issues impacting assigned installations.
• Participate in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• An associate degree combined with 4 years of experience may be considered as a substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• A high school diploma along with 6 years of experience may also be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience is required.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required if stipulated by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is required.
