Performance/Resilience Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Develop the non-functional test plan and revise it for review by the manager or team leader.

• Strategize, prepare, execute, and evaluate non-functional testing activities.

• Create a comprehensive non-functional testing strategy for the solution.

• Generate performance test scripts utilizing available tools for designated performance and resilience scenarios.

• Assist in the preparation of performance test data.

• Conduct resilience, recovery, load, stress, endurance, and capacity tests.

• Assess resource usage during test execution to validate application performance and pinpoint bottlenecks.

• Examine test results, aid in identifying non-functional issues, and provide recommendations.

• Empower QA engineers and developers to perform non-functional testing.

• Offer technical support to enhance system performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability.

• Establish standards and best practices for creating robust, maintainable, and efficient load-testing scripts.

• Assess system performance and stability while suggesting enhancements.

• Collaborate with the Development team and a major client's IT department.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in non-functional testing and related tools.

• Proficiency in test planning, estimation, strategy, workload design, test case formulation, platform setup, data preparation, and defect management.

• Practical knowledge of JMeter or Gatling.

• Ability to produce documentation.

• Skill in presenting findings and recommendations to team members, management, and clients.

• Experience in agile software development and testing methodologies.

• Excellent command of the English language.

• Familiarity with Chaos/Kraken for resilience testing is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience with Java from an automation perspective is a plus.

• Experience with complex setups involving multiple integrated systems is beneficial.

• Experience with microservices-based, privately cloud-hosted solutions is an asset.
