This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Become part of a pioneering AI research project and assist in the advancement of the next generation of Large Language Models by applying your knowledge in systems optimization and performance engineering.
• Work alongside research and engineering teams to enhance AI functionalities in systems programming, compiler optimization, runtime performance, and fundamental engineering principles.
• Create complex, real-world performance engineering challenges that mimic optimization scenarios at production scale.
• Formulate precise and well-documented solutions for intricate systems programming and performance optimization issues.
• Assess and critique AI-generated solutions, offering thorough technical insights on accuracy, efficiency, and engineering quality.
• Develop detailed evaluation frameworks and scoring rubrics covering areas such as:
• - Systems architecture
• - Runtime optimization
• - Compiler engineering
• - Memory management
• - CPU and GPU performance
• - Concurrency and parallel processing
• Collaborate with other subject matter experts to maintain consistency, technical precision, and quality across AI training datasets.
• Provide domain expertise to improve the reasoning abilities of advanced AI models.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Performance Engineering, Systems Programming, or Low-Level Software Optimization.
• Extensive hands-on experience in at least one of the following programming languages:
• - C++
• - Python
• - Rust
• A working knowledge of the other languages is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in achieving measurable enhancements in production systems, such as:
• - Latency reduction
• - Throughput optimization
• - Memory footprint reduction
• - Runtime performance improvements
• Strong comprehension of systems architecture, compiler behavior, and performance profiling methodologies.
• Proven career advancement with increasing technical responsibilities.
