This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the complete employee lifecycle across North America (NA) and Asia-Pacific Japan (APJ): handling contracts, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, time-off and leaves, as well as internal mobility.
• Ensure precise and timely data management across all People tools and systems.
• Gather and submit payroll inputs to the Senior Payroll Manager prior to each payroll cycle.
• Oversee state registration processes when hiring in new US states, collaborating with Finance and Legal as necessary.
• Take ownership of and continuously enhance regional documentation, processes, and internal communications related to people policies and FAQs.
• Act as the main regional point of contact for employee inquiries concerning policies, benefits, and payroll.
• Collaborate with Legal and vendors on labor regulation issues across all jurisdictions.
• Assist in establishing entities in new countries, including transitioning employees from Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements to direct employment.
• Serve as the first point of contact for managers in NA and APJ regarding people-related topics.
• Guide managers through routine matters such as contract modifications, performance discussions, exits, leaves, and employee transitions.
• Help managers apply policies and processes accurately and consistently.
• Identify and escalate trends in feedback, engagement, or employee experience that require broader attention or cross-functional alignment.
• Contribute to global People Operations initiatives and process enhancements in partnership with the broader People Ops team.
• Assist in drafting and maintaining global People Operations processes, guidelines, and internal documentation.
• Provide coverage support to the People Ops Partner in EMEA when necessary.
• Support the rollout of people systems and process automation initiatives.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and related tasks as required.
• 7+ years of experience in People Operations and HR within a global tech company, preferably in a remote-first (fast-scaling startup) environment.
• Extensive experience managing the full employee lifecycle across multiple jurisdictions, including the US and ideally one APJ country (Australia, Singapore, Japan).
• Knowledge of US multi-state employment requirements, including state registrations.
• Proficient in drafting HR processes and documentation from the ground up with minimal existing frameworks.
• Strong systems proficiency, particularly with Microsoft tools; bonus points for experience with HiBob HRIS.
• Comfortable working directly with managers and guiding them on people-related topics; HRBP experience is not mandatory, but confidence in working with the business is essential.
• Combines analytical precision and compliance with strategic insight, acting as a confident communicator who advises, coaches, and influences stakeholders at all levels.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and make sound judgment calls with incomplete information.
