đź“‹ Description

• Accurately processing bi-monthly payroll, ensuring compliance throughout all stages—from data modifications to reporting and pay-change audits.

• Executing a range of onboarding and offboarding activities for new hires to provide a consistent, high-quality experience that surpasses employee expectations, while identifying opportunities for automation and ensuring adherence to relevant state laws.

• Collaborating with our benefits broker to manage employee benefits, including responding to employee inquiries and facilitating annual enrollment.

• Overseeing our current HRIS system, ADP, maintaining 100% data accuracy, generating routine and ad-hoc reports, and rapidly mastering system functionalities to accommodate evolving organizational demands.

• Managing the administrative aspects of HRIS transition and implementation projects—data entry, migration, testing, documentation, and coordination—as new systems are adopted by the team.

• Partnering with our leave management vendor to assist with employee leaves of absence, demonstrating an understanding of leave management basics and effectively communicating our company leave policies, while following up with employees for required documentation and recording leaves in our HRIS.

• Overseeing workers' compensation programs, reporting claims, and coordinating with employees, managers, and claims adjusters to ensure timely care and processing of claims.

• Assisting in the performance review cycle within our performance management software by organizing the cycle, tracking key dates, and guiding the process through its various phases.

• Ensuring multi-state compliance by maintaining accurate records, assisting in the preparation and submission of necessary filings and registrations, and keeping abreast of regulations impacting our team.

• Documenting, maintaining, and updating HR policies that align with business needs, collaborating with People Team leadership to ensure clarity, compliance, and relevance.

• Contributing to the development and enhancement of processes—designing and strengthening workflows that facilitate team scalability, while proposing recommendations for future improvements.

• Working alongside the People Operations team to provide exceptional support and service to every OLIPOP employee.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of practical experience in People Ops/HR operations, with direct responsibility for payroll (multi-state experience is a significant advantage).

• Proven track record of enhancing and optimizing processes—experience in contributing to SOPs, audits, or system improvements.

• Exceptional accuracy under compliance pressure (payroll must be error-free).

• Proactive and capable of working autonomously on key responsibilities, while knowing when to align with and escalate matters to the broader team.

• Highly organized, process-driven, and dependable—ensuring colleagues and leaders can always trust your commitments, while regularly updating them on status.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity—capable of critical thinking, decision-making, and resolving non-routine issues using experience and sound reasoning.

• High degree of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.

• Ability to communicate effectively, empathetically, and assertively across various settings—verbally, in writing, in one-on-one interactions, and in larger groups.

• Strong proficiency in spreadsheets within Microsoft Suite—adept at manipulating data, crafting formulas, and performing calculations (familiarity with advanced features like macros is a plus).

• Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Teams is preferred.

• Familiarity with ADP is an advantage.
