This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The People Operations Generalist, reporting to and assisting the Director of People Operations, is responsible for ensuring the People Department operates smoothly, efficiently, and with a focus on technology.
• Serve as the primary expert and lead for the HRIS.
• Oversee system configuration, troubleshooting, user training, and conduct regular data audits.
• Develop, enhance, and sustain automated workflows within the HRIS to improve employee lifecycles and departmental efficacy.
• Manage the complete payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timely execution, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Produce, assess, and disseminate regular and on-demand HR metrics and payroll reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Function as the main point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries related to company policies, payroll, procedures, and benefits.
• Ensure the smooth execution of onboarding, workforce management, leaves of absence, and offboarding processes.
• Aid in the administration of all benefits and retirement programs.
• Engage in the planning and execution of company culture events and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee experience.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and the talent acquisition team to assist in sourcing, scheduling, screening, and advancing candidates through the hiring pipeline.
• Utilize and maximize contemporary recruiting technology to refine the hiring process.
• Maintain a strong familiarity with and interest in AI tools and automation to enhance daily HR operations, drafting, and productivity.
• Draft and update HR policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and employee communications while regularly reviewing existing practices for compliance updates.
• Conduct operations with a high level of discretion and uphold the strict integrity and confidentiality of all business and HR matters, records, and data.
• Substantial hands-on experience as a system administrator for Paylocity (preferred) or a comparable, robust HRIS.
• Proven experience in independently managing and executing payroll processing.
• High level of comfort with adopting modern technology; experience utilizing advanced recruiting technology/ATS platforms and a willingness to leverage AI tools for operational efficiency.
• Previous experience supporting recruitment functions and navigating candidate pipelines.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Relevant college coursework in business, administration, human resources, logistics, or related fields, or equivalent experience with 1-3 years in administration is highly desirable.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in Human Resources is required.
• HR certification or intent to obtain certification is preferred.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint, with superior knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with Google Docs and an Apple/Mac Operating System is preferred.
