This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the Operational Execution of People Priorities.
• Spearhead the conversion of People strategy into actionable plans, establishing workstreams, governance frameworks, timelines, and stakeholder alignment strategies that propel critical priorities forward swiftly.
• Oversee vendor and system partnerships within the HR technology landscape, ensuring effective day-to-day execution and partnership management for all people systems; present systems strategy and investment proposals to the CPO along with supporting analysis.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks, dependencies, and obstacles across multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining operational transparency for People leadership through AI-driven tracking and reporting tools.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
• Foster Operational Excellence Across the People Function.
• Lead the People team’s operational rhythms, planning cycles, and accountability systems, ensuring visibility, prioritization, and coordination across all ongoing workstreams.
• Recognize operational barriers and proactively redesign processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, consistency, and execution quality within the People function, leveraging AI-driven automation wherever applicable.
• Encourage the adoption and seamless integration of AI-enhanced tools, automation workflows, and agentic capabilities within the People function, evolving the team’s AI-native operational model.
• Oversee change management and implementation for organizational transformation projects, new processes, and technology deployments, driving adoption and ensuring follow-through directly.
• Manage Global Compliance & Employment Law.
• Ensure HR compliance across all Billtrust operating countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Belgium, and India, along with any future locations as the company grows.
• Collaborate with the Chief Legal Officer on statutory requirements, works council duties, and changes in employment law, translating legal guidance into operational policies and practices.
• Maintain the global employee handbook and all country-specific policies, ensuring they are current, accurate, and legally defensible in every jurisdiction.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in HR operations, business operations, strategy execution, or a Chief of Staff role, with a proven track record of managing complex initiatives across global organizations.
• Experience in multi-country HR compliance across at least three jurisdictions, with practical knowledge of statutory employment requirements, works council obligations, and management of country-specific policies.
• Proficiency in managing HR system and vendor relationships, demonstrating accountability for SLAs, coordinating implementations, and ensuring optimal day-to-day system performance.
• Proven capability to translate strategy into execution by developing governance frameworks and accountability structures in environments characterized by ambiguity.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and influence skills, with a history of driving alignment across Finance, IT, Legal, and business stakeholders without direct line authority.
• Demonstrated success in promoting AI adoption within a team or function, including practical experience with agentic tools, automation workflows, and AI-driven HR systems.
• Strong executive communication abilities, capable of creating polished leadership materials, operational dashboards, and progress reports for senior-level audiences.
