This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the helpdesk: Triage and resolve incoming People Operations tickets using FreshService (transitioning to Serval). Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, processes, and systems, knowing when to escalate issues and when to resolve them independently.
• Process transactions in Workday: Accurately enter and maintain employee data throughout the entire lifecycle, including new hires, terminations, job changes, transfers, and more. Ensure data quality within your responsibilities.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding: Coordinate logistics for the first day, confirm that Workday records are correctly established, and support employees and managers during transitions.
• Generate and provide reports: Create standard and ad hoc reports from Workday to assist the People team, Finance, and leadership. Have a solid understanding of your data to identify any discrepancies.
• Identify and suggest improvements: While you won’t be tasked with redesigning the function, if you observe a recurring ticket that could be automated, a process step that adds no value, or a gap in our knowledge base, we welcome your feedback.
• 2–4 years of experience in People Operations, HR Shared Services, or a related operational HR role.
• Practical experience with Workday. You should be comfortable processing transactions and generating reports, not just navigating the user interface.
• Experience in a helpdesk or ticketing environment (FreshService, Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar).
• Exceptional attention to detail; you identify data errors before they escalate into issues.
• Strong, professional written communication skills. Many of your interactions with employees will be conducted in writing.
• Self-motivated and organized; you can manage your own queue without requiring daily guidance.
• A natural curiosity to question established processes and the discernment to know when to take action based on the answers versus when to simply complete the task at hand.
