This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Act as the main HR contact for employees and managers, offering guidance on HR policies, employee relations issues, and workplace concerns.
• Assess, investigate, and resolve employee relations challenges with discretion, consistency, and care.
• Collaborate with the Director of People & Culture on intricate investigations, performance issues, and separations.
• Serve as the HR partner for our retail Mountain Studio locations, assisting Retail Area Managers and Mountain Studio Managers with daily people-related matters.
• Oversee workers’ compensation claims from initiation through return-to-work, acting as the primary liaison with our insurance carrier.
• Manage recruitment operations, which include job postings, interview scheduling, and offer management; collaborate with the Director on hiring for Director-level positions and above.
• Provide a seamless, high-quality onboarding experience that prepares new employees for success from the moment they accept an offer through their first 90 days.
• Assist managers with performance coaching, documentation, and performance improvement plans; work in partnership with the Director on matters related to Director-level positions and above.
• Coordinate promotions and changes in compensation in collaboration with the Director of People & Culture.
• Keep track of federal and state employment law changes across 25 states, ensuring Stio’s compliance documentation and handbooks are up to date.
• Be the first point of contact for employees with policy-related inquiries, including wage and hour, leave, and workplace policies.
• Ensure compliance with annual harassment prevention training, including specific state requirements across all locations.
• Maintain required workplace postings and ensure adherence to federal and multi-state posting obligations.
• Manage the complete onboarding and offboarding process for corporate employees, ensuring a smooth transition and clear handoffs within the team.
• Administer leave of absence programs in accordance with federal and state laws, serving as the primary contact for employees.
• Accurately maintain compliance documentation, new hire paperwork, and HR records with appropriate confidentiality.
• Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, minimize manual workload, and create more uniform experiences throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Demonstrate a commitment to our company’s mission, vision, and values.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience; a background as an HRBP, HR Generalist, or in People Operations is highly preferred.
• Experience in supporting multi-state workforces; familiarity with employment law across various jurisdictions is essential.
• Proven experience collaborating with retail teams or supporting a multi-location retail environment is necessary.
• Experience managing investigations, performance issues, employee separations, and performance management processes, including PIPs and performance reviews.
• Familiarity with recruiting operations and ATS management; experience with Workable is a plus.
• Strong communicator and relationship builder; comfortable engaging with managers and employees at all levels.
• Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, people-focused environment.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Asana, and HRIS systems; experience with ADP Workforce Now is an advantage.
