People & Culture Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire recruitment cycle in partnership with hiring managers.

• Assess our external reputation and implement strategies to enhance our employer brand.

• Continuously enhance the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

• Collaborate with the VP of People & Culture to create initiatives that boost employee engagement.

• Design and provide an engaging onboarding experience for new hires.

• Assist in the development and execution of our DEIB roadmap.

• Work with managers to determine professional development requirements.

• Conduct regular benchmarking of compensation and benefits.

• Formulate and communicate clear people policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with the VP of People & Culture to create a comprehensive people strategy.

• Develop dashboards and monitor metrics to evaluate key people outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR or People & Culture experience, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven environment.

• Familiarity with HR best practices, employment law, and compliance standards.

• Experience in leading recruitment and talent management processes.

• Proven ability to design and implement HR policies, programs, and systems effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills that are both effective and empathetic.

• Proven track record of building relationships across various levels within an organization.

• Experience in supporting organizational learning and professional development initiatives.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools.

• Experienced with HRIS platforms and comfortable managing employee data and reports.
