This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• Oversee the recruitment process from the approval of requisitions to the final hiring stage.

• Regularly update the local onboarding program and assist staff throughout their probationary period.

• Handle recruitment, negotiations, and operational follow-up for project consultants.

• Offer guidance to employees and managers regarding policy interpretation and general employment issues.

• Develop processes for goal-setting and conducting performance evaluations.

• Advise program leadership on performance-related challenges and potential actions to address them.

• Facilitate conflict resolution as a compassionate mediator in line with internal procedures.

• Organize learning and development initiatives while identifying opportunities for professional advancement.

• Ensure adherence to labor laws and FHI 360 policies.

• Prepare HR and administrative documents, reports, and communications.

• Maintain the integrity of HRIS data and produce standard HR reports.

• Provide support for essential project operational tasks as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of local labor laws and HR best practices.

• Capability to offer policy guidance and address employee concerns effectively.

• Proficient in HRIS systems and reporting tools.

• Strong analytical skills and professional judgment.

• Ability to identify information gaps, assess data, and formulate well-supported recommendations.

• Skilled in preparing clear, precise, high-quality HR documentation, reports, and communications.

• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.

• Proficient in Spanish and competent in English.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or a related HR field is mandatory.

• At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in Human Resources or People & Culture.

• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and compliance with labor laws.

• Experience in supporting complex, fast-paced project operations with a significant degree of independence is strongly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

• Workday proficiency is essential.

• Capability to work for extended periods at a computer.

• Ability to sit, stand, and move for prolonged periods.

• Completion of appropriate screening checks, including reference, criminal record, and terrorism finance checks, is required.
