This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main SWBC PEO representative and primary liaison for designated clients and shared employees.
• Address customer service requirements.
• Manage all payroll processes for assigned employees across various states, including weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly schedules.
• Oversee payroll-related accounts and execute multi-state payroll processing.
• Reconcile payroll and ensure the accuracy of the payroll system.
• Prepare necessary forms, input data into the payroll system, calculate wages and deductions, and update payroll records.
• Engage with clients regarding payroll inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain documentation that supports payroll transactions, such as salary adjustments, deduction modifications, terminations, and changes in name and address.
• Address payroll discrepancies and issues with clients.
• Process garnishments.
• Gather and ensure the accurate processing of new-hire documentation in payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Keep W-4 and I-9 documents for new hires and conduct E-Verify processing.
• Execute all other tasks as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• At least three (3) years of experience in payroll processing, garnishments, general deductions, and maintaining W-2 and I-9 forms.
• Depending on client payroll processing tasks, a minimum of three (3) years of experience specifically in auto dealership payroll processing, garnishments, general deductions, and W-2 and I-9 maintenance may be necessary.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• Familiarity with processing job-costed and certified payrolls is desirable.
• Knowledge of time clock systems is essential.
• Understanding of the Department of Labor and Fair Labor Standards Act concerning payroll and overtime is required.
• Proficient in using personal computers and payroll database systems.
• Capable of handling routine payroll tasks and effectively communicating results.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Good listening skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and the capacity to maintain confidentiality.
• Self-motivated to perform tasks to the best of one’s ability using personal initiative.
• Able to maintain positive relationships and show consideration for others.
• Competent in processing multiple payrolls for various clients with different payroll schedules.
• Capable of managing time efficiently to complete tasks within set deadlines.
• Able to multitask and adapt to changing conditions.
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods while engaged in sedentary tasks.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required.
