This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main SWBC PEO representative and the primary point of contact for designated clients and shared employees.
• Address customer service requirements effectively.
• Accurately and timely process multi-state payroll schedules, including weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payments.
• Maintain payroll-related accounts and execute multi-state payroll processing.
• Ensure accuracy and reconcile the payroll system diligently.
• Prepare necessary forms, input data into the payroll system, calculate wages and deductions, and update payroll records.
• Engage with clients concerning payroll inquiries and resolve issues.
• Keep records that support payroll transactions, such as salary adjustments, deduction modifications, terminations, and changes of name and address.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues with clients.
• Process garnishments efficiently.
• Gather and ensure precise processing of new hire documentation and paperwork in payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Maintain W-4 and I-9 documents for new hires and manage E-Verify processing.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in payroll processing, including garnishments, general deductions, and maintenance of W-2 and I-9 forms.
• Depending on the client's payroll processing assignment, at least three (3) years of experience in auto dealership payroll processing, garnishments, general deductions, and maintenance of W-2 and I-9 forms may be necessary.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred.
• Working knowledge of processing job costed and certified payrolls is essential.
• Familiarity with time clock systems is required.
• Understanding of the Department of Labor and Fair Labor Standards Act concerning payroll and overtime is important.
• Competent in using personal computers and payroll database systems.
• Proficient in managing routine payroll tasks and effectively communicating outcomes.
• Strong skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Attentive listening skills with a focus on detail, accuracy, and maintaining confidentiality at a high level.
• Capable of processing multiple payrolls for various clients with diverse payroll schedules.
• Able to manage time effectively to complete work within specified deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods while performing sedentary tasks.
• Completion of pre-employment drug testing is required.
