This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main SWBC PEO representative and the primary liaison with assigned clients and shared employees.
• Oversee all payroll functions for the assigned employees, ensuring the timely and precise processing of multi-state payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis.
• Manage payroll-related accounts and execute multi-state payroll operations.
• Ensure reconciliation and accuracy of the payroll system.
• Prepare forms, input data into the payroll system, calculate wages and deductions, and maintain payroll records.
• Communicate with clients to address payroll inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain and manage relevant records to support all payroll transactions, including salary adjustments, deduction modifications, terminations, and changes in name and address.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues.
• Handle the processing of garnishments.
• Collect and verify that new hire documentation and necessary paperwork are accurately processed in both the payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Maintain W-4 and I-9 documentation for all new hires and manage E-Verify processing.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An advanced degree is a plus.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in payroll processing, garnishments, general deductions, and W-2 & I-9 maintenance is required.
• Depending on client payroll processing needs, at least three (3) years of experience in auto dealership payroll processing, garnishments, general deductions, and W-2 & I-9 maintenance may be necessary.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are preferred.
• Familiarity with processing job-costed and certified payrolls is essential.
• Knowledge of time clock systems is required.
• Understanding of the Department of Labor and Fair Labor Standards Act as it pertains to payroll and overtime is necessary.
• Proficient in personal computers and payroll database systems.
• Skilled in managing routine payroll tasks and effectively communicating the results.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary.
• Strong listening abilities with attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Self-motivated to perform tasks to the best of one’s abilities using personal initiative.
• Capable of maintaining good relationships and showing consideration for others.
• Ability to process payroll for multiple clients with varying payroll schedules.
