Peer to Peer Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop sophisticated synchronization and networking systems to ensure dependable AI operations in diverse environments, ranging from edge devices to cloud-isolated systems.

• Create architectural frameworks for data synchronization utilizing content-addressable storage, Merkle trees, CRDTs, and erasure coding techniques.

• Oversee performance optimization, debugging, and tuning of distributed software under conditions of limited resources and intermittent connectivity.

• Implement a security-first design ethos through threat modeling, secure key management practices, and cryptographic primitives and protocols.

• Work in collaboration with MLOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deploy and integrate AI components in restricted or air-gapped environments.

• Participate in cross-functional architectural design discussions and contribute to documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Sustain testing, observability, and validation practices to ensure system reliability and compliance readiness.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with backend programming languages such as C++, C, Go, or Rust.

• Familiarity with peer-to-peer or decentralized networking frameworks.

• Understanding of secure, distributed, and resilient AI infrastructure.

• While Rust development is essential for this role, prior Rust experience is not mandatory; candidates may learn it on the job.

• Experience or knowledge of content-addressable storage, Merkle trees, CRDTs, and erasure coding.

• Proven experience with performance tuning, debugging, and optimizing distributed software under conditions of resource constraints and intermittent connectivity.

• Knowledge of threat modeling, secure key management, cryptographic primitives, and related protocols.

• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with MLOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams.

• Capability to deploy or integrate AI components within restricted or air-gapped systems.
