Payroll Specialist Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Guarantee precise and timely payroll processing, achieving over 99% of deadlines and maintaining accuracy above 99.5%

• Establish strategic checks and controls to ensure regulatory compliance

• Manage and enhance the Zendesk ticketing system, assigning tickets within 24 hours and tackling recurring issues

• Update and refine SOPs, checklists, and internal resources for various teams

• Deliver cross-team training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing, including with Implementation and PCST

• Make independent, informed decisions and propose solutions that have broader operational implications

• Provide global client support, including follow-ups, problem-solving, and stakeholder management

• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and provide guidance on complex business decisions

• Oversee global testing, high-impact projects, and cross-functional initiatives

• Collaborate with other teams via tools like Slack to troubleshoot issues and provide assistance

• Report directly to the Associate Manager, Payroll Operations

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience in regional or global payroll operations, with a thorough understanding of global payroll best practices

• Experience in managing teams with a hands-off approach, fostering a collaborative work atmosphere

• Proficiency in payroll software tools such as SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets

• Possess an analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced international environment and adapt swiftly to changes

• Proven track record of improving productivity, streamlining processes, and enhancing efficiency

• Comfortable working asynchronously and remotely within a globally distributed team

• Proficient in both written and spoken English
