This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise comprehensive payroll operations for employees in the US, India, and the UK.
• Develop and lead an offshore payroll team through mentorship, quality control, and setting performance expectations.
• Manage payroll systems and their integration with HRIS, time and attendance, benefits, and GL/accounting systems.
• Guide or assist with payroll system implementations, migrations, and upgrades, including the rollout of Workday Payroll.
• Collaborate with PeopleOps and Benefits on employee lifecycle events.
• Oversee payroll accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and close-cycle support.
• Assist with financial statement, statutory, and 401(k) audits.
• Uphold internal controls and safeguard sensitive employee and compensation information.
• Monitor US federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, ensuring precise filings and remittances.
• Optimize and automate payroll processes and workflows.
• Address and resolve complex payroll discrepancies across various functions.
• Proven experience managing payroll operations in multiple countries, specifically direct experience in US, India, and UK payroll.
• Skilled in working with and overseeing an offshore team.
• Required hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Celergo.
• Familiarity with Workday Payroll is considered advantageous.
• Experience managing both inbound and outbound system integrations between payroll and HR/finance systems.
• Previous involvement with payroll system implementations, particularly with Workday.
• Strong grasp of payroll accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of US payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in supporting financial statement audits, statutory audits, and 401(k) audits.
• Demonstrated ability in people management, fostering high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Systems- and process-oriented mindset aimed at scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
• High level of integrity and discretion when managing confidential employee information.
• Robust organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing and reporting.
• Must possess authorization to work legally in the United States.
• Must disclose if future US work sponsorship will be necessary.
