This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main SWBC PEO representative and primary liaison for designated clients and shared employees to meet customer service requirements.
• Oversee all payroll functions for assigned employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis.
• Manage payroll-related accounts and execute multi-state payroll tasks.
• Ensure the reconciliation and precision of the payroll system.
• Prepare forms, input data into the payroll system, calculate wages and deductions, and update payroll records.
• Engage with clients to address payroll inquiries and resolve any issues.
• Maintain and process the necessary records to support all payroll transactions, including salary modifications, deduction alterations, terminations, and changes in name and address.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
• Handle garnishments.
• Collect and verify that new hire paperwork and relevant documents are accurately processed in both payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Keep W-4 and I-9 documentation for all new hires and manage E-Verify processing.
• Execute any other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• An advanced degree is a plus.
• At least three (3) years of experience in payroll processing, including garnishments, general deductions, and W-2 & I-9 maintenance.
• Depending on the client payroll processing assignment, a minimum of three (3) years of experience in auto dealership payroll processing, garnishments, general deductions, and W-2 & I-9 maintenance may be necessary.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred.
• Familiarity with processing job-costed and certified payrolls.
• Understanding of time clock systems.
• Knowledge of the Department of Labor and Fair Labor Standards Act concerning payroll and overtime.
• Proficient in using personal computers and payroll database systems.
• Experience handling routine payroll tasks and effectively communicating results.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Excellent listening skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Self-motivated to perform tasks to the best of one’s abilities, demonstrating personal initiative.
