
Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage semi-monthly payroll and 401K processing for two entities.
• Ensure compliance of payroll policies and practices with federal and state regulations.
• Coordinate and monitor new employer registration requirements.
• Execute the annual employer match and true-up processes for the 401(k) plan.
• Oversee, triage, and address state payroll tax notices.
• Respond to requests for federal and state workforce data.
• Maintain payroll records in accordance with federal and state retention guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Benefits team to align payroll with employee benefits.
• 3–7 years of experience in managing multi-state payroll.
• Experience with various workforce classifications (exempt and non-exempt).
• Proven experience with compliance requirements specific to each state.
• Familiarity with Paychex or similar payroll platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to meet deadlines.
• Strong skills in communication, writing, and administration.
