Payroll Process, Systems Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive end-to-end mapping for monthly payroll cycles, year-end procedures, third-party payments, and reconciliation variance reports.

• Review internal controls, segregation of duties, authorization levels, approval workflows, and access permissions within Sage 300.

• Evaluate the organization's alignment with SARS tax compliance requirements, internal policies, and audit frameworks.

• Analyze payroll reconciliations and conduct data analysis to identify discrepancies affecting payroll accuracy and completeness.

• Execute structured risk assessments encompassing financial, operational compliance, employee relations, and reputational risks.

• Carry out resource capability mapping, examining current payroll roles, workload distribution, skills competencies, and capacity limitations.

• Provide thorough training for clients on payroll systems, software, and revised operating procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in a payroll environment.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver formal software and process training to clients.

• Experience in payroll process mapping, risk assessment, and reconciliation analysis.

• Required Software Skills

• Sage 300 People (Certification required)

• Pastel Payroll (Certification required)
