This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the migration and implementation of essential payroll processes during the Dayforce implementation.
• Assist in the mapping of data necessary for Dayforce implementation, ensuring all employee and payroll information is accurately transferred and configured in the new system.
• Provide assistance for testing and validating the new system setup to facilitate a smooth go-live and integration.
• Document the transition process, which includes training materials, user guides, and troubleshooting resources for internal teams.
• Process payroll on a biweekly schedule.
• Verify timekeeping records for accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll reports at the state and federal levels, including tax documents such as W-2s.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure that payroll entries and related accruals are accurately recorded in NetSuite.
• Ensure precise and timely processing of multi-state employee payments, encompassing salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions while maintaining organized payroll records.
• Manage the Payroll module in Dayforce, including timekeeping and timesheet management.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
• Conduct quarterly payroll filings and tax audits.
• Generate and analyze payroll reports utilizing Dayforce and provide insights through accounting analysis.
• Reconcile payroll data with financial systems like NetSuite, ensuring consistency between payroll and general ledger records.
• Continuously assess and suggest improvements related to payroll entry, filings, and timesheet management.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and Operations teams to enhance payroll systems and integrations with NetSuite for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure all payroll processes adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, particularly as systems and processes evolve with the Dayforce implementation.
• Stay informed on changes in laws and regulations, ensuring that policies and practices remain current.
• Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of multi-state Payroll experience, specifically with Dayforce/Ceridian.
• Advanced proficiency in Dayforce reporting, as well as advanced reporting in Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems, particularly regarding payroll accounting and journal entries.
• Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
• Experience in supporting system migrations or transitions.
• Knowledge of best practices in payroll configuration and data integrity.
• Strong proficiency in the Dayforce/Ceridian platform is essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Capability to manage complex projects and timelines, especially during system transitions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support others.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
