This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate comprehensive payroll processing for both hourly and salaried staff.
• Assist with payroll schedules and processing calendars.
• Manage payroll data for new employees, transfers, promotions, pay adjustments, leaves of absence, and terminations.
• Examine timekeeping data, track exceptions, and coordinate necessary corrections.
• Oversee employee tax profiles, direct deposit details, garnishments, and PTO/Sick Time accrual records.
• Provide support to employees and managers regarding routine payroll inquiries and requests.
• Process employment verifications, wage garnishments, and payroll-related documents.
• Prepare and disseminate standard payroll reports and supporting documentation.
• Conduct routine payroll audits and data validation checks.
• Assist in quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including payroll tax filing documentation.
• Help with payroll reconciliations and respond to internal and external audit requests.
• Engage in payroll system testing, upgrades, and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Benefits, Finance, HR Systems, field leadership, and external vendors.
• Maintain payroll procedures and documentation.
• Safeguard confidential employee and company information while ensuring payroll record integrity.
• Undertake special projects and other assigned tasks.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of payroll, HR, accounting, or related administrative experience.
• Required experience in supporting multi-state payroll environments.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems is required.
• Experience with ADP Lyric is preferred.
• Familiarity with integrated timekeeping, benefits, and financial systems is preferred.
• Solid understanding of payroll practices, wage and hour laws, and payroll administration processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll/HRIS systems.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting tools are required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
• Strong customer service skills, along with proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to effectively interact with employees, managers, and cross-functional business partners.
• Capability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Skill in identifying issues and appropriately escalating complex matters.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while managing high transaction volumes and strict payroll deadlines.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through digital platforms.
