This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Payroll Compliance Analyst II is responsible for managing the calculation, analysis, and reporting of payroll, union benefits, and prevailing wage activities.
• The individual interprets and applies collective bargaining agreements along with prevailing wage requirements.
• Conducts audits and reconciliations of payroll data and deductions.
• Addresses discrepancies related to wage rates, classifications, and benefits.
• Supervises the preparation and submission of necessary reporting.
• Aids in maintaining audit readiness through comprehensive documentation.
• Participates in process enhancements, compliance monitoring, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Works collaboratively with HR, Finance, HRIS, payroll teams, field leadership, and external partners to validate data, resolve issues, and promote operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Familiarity with contract language and its interpretation.
• Experience in payroll processing, ideally with exposure to prevailing wage, government, or union contracts.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Workday).
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage large datasets and identify discrepancies.
• Strong skills in organization, communication, and customer service.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving abilities and capacity to work autonomously with little oversight.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, focusing on pivot tables, v/h lookups, and data queries.
