This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Oversee payroll processing duties for employees in various countries, ensuring precision, adherence to regulations, and timely execution.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, investigate any discrepancies, and resolve issues related to payroll.
• Facilitate employee onboarding, offboarding, and employment modifications within payroll, benefits, and retirement frameworks.
• Preserve payroll records, encompassing compensation updates, benefit selections, deductions, organizational changes, and employee data modifications.
• Address employee inquiries concerning payroll, benefits, and pay administration procedures.
• Aid in year-end payroll processes and compliance obligations across global regions.
• Support general ledger reconciliations, manage vacation accruals, and engage in payroll reporting tasks.
• Keep track of regulatory, tax, and legislative changes that could influence payroll and benefits administration.
• Experience in processing payroll for Canadian and U.S. employees within a multi-entity, multi-region, or intricate business setting.
• Payroll certification or comparable experience in payroll administration.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as UKG, Workday, CloudPay, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical abilities to investigate discrepancies and manage large amounts of payroll data.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (or equivalent lookup and reporting functionalities).
• High attention to detail and the capability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
