This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary, +2 more countries.
• Payroll Operations & Delivery: Manage, prepare, review, and ensure precise processing of UK payroll.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with our external payroll provider to oversee service level agreements (SLAs), manage payroll cycles, and assist with critical initiatives like annual processes, payrolling benefits, salary sacrifice schemes, and system configurations.
• Employee & Customer Support: Serve as a primary contact for inquiries related to employee compensation.
• Process Excellence & Automation: Regularly assess, document, and enhance current payroll workflows.
• Service Metric & SLA Monitoring: Monitor case volumes, resolution metrics, and performance levels for both internal teams and external vendor partners.
• Compliance & Governance: Rigorously comply with all relevant UK payroll regulations, tax laws, National Insurance (NI) standards, company policies, and our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
• 3+ years of direct experience in Payroll Operations (either in-house or vendor-side).
• In-Depth UK Payroll Expertise: Extensive technical knowledge of UK tax calculations, National Insurance (NI), salary sacrifice schemes, system and wage type setup, and payroll project management.
• System & Tech Proficiency: Practical experience with core HRIS (preferably Workday) and case management tools (ideally ServiceNow).
• Advanced Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets formulas, with a proactive approach to leveraging AI for enhanced automation, data validation, and accuracy.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Capabilities: Proven success in root-cause analysis, conflict resolution, customer-facing communications, and performing well under pressure.
• Adaptability & Collaboration: Established ability to cultivate strong partnerships across cross-functional teams and effectively adjust priorities to meet changing business demands.
