This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Demonstrate proficiency in gathering, entering, balancing, and validating payroll data.
• Confirm wages, deductions, attendance, hours worked, complete pay adjustments, and record information into designated systems.
• Manage the processing and posting of employee paychecks along with statements detailing earnings and deductions.
• Collect employee time and payroll information from timesheets and various records.
• Document employee details such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations to maintain and refresh payroll records.
• Execute, oversee, and report on payroll procedures while also completing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll accounting tasks.
• Successful completion of a high school diploma.
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation, with a minimum of Level 1 preferred.
• At least five (5) years of experience managing complex payrolls, including those involving unions, commissions, payroll balancing, and year-end processes.
• Familiarity with Ultipro Software, including payroll processing and time tracking capabilities.
