This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Review and process bi-weekly payroll for U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries.
• Conduct timecard reviews, payroll accounting, and reconciliations.
• Complete quarterly and annual compliance filings as required.
• Manage accounts payable tasks related to benefits and payroll compliance.
• Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s, T4s, RL-1s, and vendor 1099s.
• Investigate and resolve issues; initiate corrective actions and adjustments.
• Oversee the maintenance of the Dayforce payroll system.
• Prepare timely and precise general ledger transactions.
• Aid in the annual 401(k) audit process.
• Accurately implement annual benefits updates in a timely manner.
• Organize and maintain sub-ledger transaction files effectively.
• Ensure a swift and precise close process for areas of responsibility.
• Manage the Payroll inbox and respond to employee inquiries.
• Oversee Canadian payroll requirements, including filing Records of Employment and completing annual vacation rollover and entitlement adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and GAAP standards.
• Design and implement policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Provide ad hoc support to the Accounting team during non-payroll weeks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or over 5 years of payroll accounting experience.
• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in payroll, benefits, compliance, accounting, and auditing.
• Understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and quality control principles.
• Required experience with Canadian payroll and vacation entitlements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with employees and other departments.
• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple competing priorities while meeting established deadlines.
• A mindset focused on process improvement.
• Demonstrates adaptability, personal accountability, a strong sense of ownership, and a drive to succeed.
• Responsive and proactive, with strong customer service skills.
• Maintains a positive attitude with a desire to learn, understand responsibilities, and enhance processes.
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is preferred.
• French language skills are a plus.
