This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Facilitate effective patient journeys to and during therapy through care coordination, education, and psychosocial support.
• Provide education on medications and disease states to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Build relationships, foster trust, and maintain rapport entirely through telephonic communication.
• Counsel patients regarding product usage, dosing, administration, devices, insurance coverage, and reimbursement issues.
• Assess and contribute to the development of program resources.
• Coordinate resources to share and secure financial options for patients in financial need.
• Adhere to program guidelines and escalate complex cases as per policy and procedures.
• Manage incoming and outgoing calls concerning disease states, products, patient requirements, insurance coverage, and financial assistance.
• Maintain and update patient account records within a digital CRM system.
• Assist healthcare provider offices with prescription inquiries and challenges.
• Document and report adverse events and product or safety complaints in accordance with program SOPs.
• Participate in customer meetings, training sessions, orientation meetings, and competency evaluations.
• Advocate for patients and healthcare providers regarding insurance coverage, medical billing, reimbursement, and access to complex pharmaceuticals.
• Engage in a shared after-hours on-call nursing service.
• Complete training on corporate policies and procedures by set deadlines.
• Consistently follow SOPs.
• Perform additional assigned tasks or projects.
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN, RN).
• Valid nursing license in one or more states.
• Four or more years of nursing experience.
• Two or more years of nephrology experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical insurance terminology and reimbursement, healthcare billing, physician offices, health insurance processing, or related reimbursement experience is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; may be required to submit a written test sample.
• Proficient in Microsoft products.
• Required experience and comfort with a digital CRM.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through in communication with patients and providers.
• Empathetic listening abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and adapt easily.
• Strong customer service experience and skills.
• Must be eligible for licensure in all 50 states.
• Preferred candidates should be able to type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
• Flexibility to travel as required is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
• Shift hours are from 10 AM to 7 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
