Patient Services Specialist – Patient Access

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Collaborate alongside an RN/provider to guarantee high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service

• Organize both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures

• Offer routine and complex financial guidance to patients

• Investigate routine and complex referral and billing concerns

• Accurately complete coding for routine and complex encounter forms related to all surgical cases

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in health care or insurance

• Minimum of 1 year working in an ambulatory care environment

• At least 1 year of experience in coding ICD9, CPT, and HCPCS

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with third-party billing and referrals

• Previous experience serving as a liaison for providers and staff

• Similar experience in an outpatient care setting is preferred

• Proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel is preferred
