Patient Insurance Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Confirm and examine eligibility, coverage, and essential insurance details for charges prior to claim submission.

• Assess and rectify inaccuracies on charges for previous service dates before submitting claims.

• Research and validate insurance coverage and eligibility for historical charges.

• Record comprehensive benefit verification details.

• Review accounts for any missing or incorrect insurance information and implement necessary corrections.

• Attach PCP referrals and authorization approvals to charges before claim submission.

• Respond to inquiries regarding insurance verification to address insurance-related issues for patients and clinical departments.

• Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• A minimum of one year of relevant experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Familiarity with navigating insurance portals is preferred.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.

• This position does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
