This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.
• Answer incoming calls from patients, attorneys, insurance representatives, and vendors
• Conduct outbound follow-up and resolution calls for accounts
• Address written inquiries received
• Discuss payment options and financial aid opportunities
• Enter and process patient information
• Complete document requests
• Uphold performance and quality benchmarks, including minimizing abandoned calls
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality protocols and HIPAA regulations
• Handle complaints regarding current or overdue services and balances
• Investigate the patient accounting system for prior visits
• Operate under the guidance of the Customer Service Manager
• Refer issues to team leaders or relevant caregivers as needed
• Execute additional tasks as assigned
• High School Diploma - Required
• 1 Year - Experience in Customer Service - Required
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; good hand-eye coordination
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Maintains a positive rapport and professional relationships with caregivers
• Exhibits outstanding customer service abilities
• Competence in operating a computer, telephone, fax machine, and copier consistently
• Capability to sit, walk, and stand
• Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data
• Strong short-term and long-term memory
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks while adhering to system policies and procedures
• Ability to visually assess both paper and electronic data, hear phone calls, and engage in conversations
• Proven self-motivator
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Quick to evaluate and respond effectively to emergency situations
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Analytical skills to resolve complex issues using scientific, mathematical, or technical methods
• Familiarity with information systems and Internet usage
• Experience with spreadsheet and word processing software
• Capability to work independently and manage workload meeting productivity standards
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
• Remote work limited to candidates residing in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, or Virginia
