Patient Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Manage Lightwave Dental's Internal Patient Financing program at all practice locations.

• Supervise direct reports and act as the organization's leading authority on in-office financing and payment plan management.

• Conduct audits at each office to ensure financing paperwork is complete and accurate.

• Confirm that all necessary financing information is being entered in Open Dental by the offices.

• Liaise with practice managers to address any missing documentation.

• Track patient counts and financial figures by monitoring regional reporting tabs.

• Oversee the Contact List and carry out outreach for delinquent accounts.

• Act as the main resource for Internal Financing setup within Open Dental.

• Provide training and support to office staff on financing workflows and documentation standards.

• Directly supervise Patient Finance Specialist(s) and ensure the quality of audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in dental billing, revenue cycle management, or patient financial services.

• Expertise in Open Dental, including setting up payment plans, configuring billing types, and generating reports.

• Familiarity with dental insurance, CareCredit, and various third-party financing options.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience in multi-provider financial reporting.

• Proven experience in managing, mentoring, or training direct reports or team members.

• Excellent organizational skills and the capability to maintain compliance across multiple locations.
