This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Provide Help Desk phone support by handling incoming and outbound calls and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
• Assist with prescription processing as necessary when not engaged with patient inbound calls.
• Accountable for swiftly and effectively assessing the nature, urgency, and complexity of patient calls.
• Route calls to the appropriate department, team, or individual based on the identified needs of patients.
• Resolve customer service issues to ensure member satisfaction as required.
• Maintain a reasonable level of productivity as determined by the supervisor.
• May assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
• Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Carry out other assigned duties as necessary.
• Outstanding phone and listening abilities.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills.
• Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of calls while ensuring accuracy.
• Technical Proficiency: Capable of understanding and utilizing relevant software, databases, and tools.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Effective collaboration with fellow team members.
• Empathy and Patience: Exhibit empathy and patience when interacting with patients, especially in challenging situations.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Pharmacy technician or related certification.
• Experience in a customer service-oriented field.
• Preferred: 6-12 months’ experience as a pharmacy technician.
