Patient Care Advocate – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Respond to patient inquiries regarding treatment options, logistics, and subsequent steps.

• Address patient issues concerning shipping, refunds, scheduling, and care coordination.

• Monitor patients throughout their healthcare journey and ensure prompt follow-up.

• Verify, document, and report information regarding insurance eligibility.

• Keep precise records within the EMR while complying with HIPAA and privacy regulations.

• Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining communication and dependability for patients and colleagues.

• Pose clarifying questions, ensure precision, and complete the patient care process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in healthcare (MA, PCA, CNA, or a similar clinical or patient-facing position).

• At least 1 year of experience in abortion care.

• Comfortable working in both clinic and remote settings.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong triage skills and capability to make sound decisions in real-time.

• Proficient in providing clear, empathetic support to patients during stressful or uncertain situations.

• Experienced in utilizing online tools and technology for patient care and communication.

• Capable of assisting patients with sensitive health matters, including abortion and birth control.

• Familiarity with navigating protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies related to patient care and documentation.

• Experience in delivering trauma-informed care.

• Skilled at prioritizing competing tasks, managing time effectively, and communicating proactively with team members.

• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not a requirement.

• Previous experience in remote or hybrid work settings is advantageous.

• Experience in a startup or rapidly growing organization is a plus.
