Patient Billing Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• The Patient Billing Representative plays a crucial role in the revenue cycle by engaging directly with patients to recover outstanding balances resulting from insurance cost-sharing and out-of-network payments.

• This position is centered on generating patient invoices, conducting patient outreach, establishing payment plans, following up on prompt payments, and maintaining clear documentation in accordance with approved billing processes, scripts, and policies.

• Create and distribute patient invoices subsequent to insurance adjudication and balance determination.

• Engage with patients regarding any outstanding balances post insurance adjudication.

• Establish and oversee payment plans in line with company policies.

• Collect both one-time and recurring payments from patients.

• Follow up on missed, late, or partial payments.

• Monitor out-of-network claims where payments are directed to the member.

• Reach out to patients to collect insurance payments received directly.

• Inform patients of their obligation to remit payments.

• Continue follow-up until the full balance is settled.

• Minimum of 2 years of college education.

• Must possess a backup power supply (additional laptop/power bank/generator/power station).

• Must have a backup internet connection (not mobile data).
