Patient Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Be available during the agreed-upon hours for communication with the RMI Global Coordination Centre (GCC).

• Travel to designated medical facilities to welcome RMI patients within one hour of receiving notification from the GCC or within other pre-established timeframes.

• Collaborate with the GCC to ensure payment methods are confirmed with the receiving medical facilities.

• Act as a mediator between the medical facilities and the GCC when necessary.

• Facilitate quick access to care and address issues in a pragmatic and professional manner.

• Provide translation services from the local dialect to English in both verbal and written forms for the GCC.

• Visit medical facilities daily during extended inpatient stays.

• Oversee patient welfare throughout their admission, guaranteeing comfort, understanding of treatment, and reasonable support requests.

• Build professional relationships with treating physicians and acquire up-to-date information from medical teams.

• Deliver timely written and verbal updates to the GCC regarding patient status and proposed plans.

• Professionally liaise with client management as needed.

• Utilize local knowledge to coordinate additional required services.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a medical healthcare professional in the relevant area of operation.

• Bilingual in the local language and dialect (as per area of operation) and English.

• Preferably experienced in providing patient advocacy in remote or international settings.

• Experience with foreign travel.

• Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism.

• Proven self-discipline.

• Ability to adapt to a cross-cultural social environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

• General computer and technology literacy is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license for the area of operation is preferred.
