Patient Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Be available during the designated coverage hours for communication with the RMI Global Coordination Centre (GCC).

• Be deployed to specified medical facilities to welcome RMI patients within one hour of notification or within another agreed timeframe.

• Collaborate with the GCC regarding payment options and facilitate communication between medical facilities and the GCC when necessary.

• Ensure prompt access to care and address issues in a practical and professional manner.

• Provide translation services from the local dialect to English, both verbally and in writing, for the GCC.

• Report to medical facilities daily during extended inpatient stays.

• Oversee patient welfare throughout their admission, ensuring comfort, comprehension of treatment, and addressing reasonable support requests.

• Build rapport with treating physicians and gather up-to-date information from the medical team.

• Deliver timely written and verbal updates on patient status and care plans to the GCC.

• Engage professionally with client management.

• Utilize local knowledge to organize additional services as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a healthcare professional in the relevant operational area.

• Bilingual capabilities in the local language and dialect (specific to the area of operation) as well as English.

• Experience in providing patient advocacy in remote or international settings is preferred.

• Experience with foreign travel.

• Exceptional communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.

• Proven self-discipline.

• Ability to adapt to a cross-cultural social environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer and technology literacy is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license for the area of operation is preferred.
