Patient Account Representative – Commercial Claims

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Handle incoming and outgoing calls with patients and insurance firms to address account balances

• Adhere to all client policies and procedures

• Fulfill business-related inquiries and correspondence from patients and insurance companies

• Manage 40–70 accounts daily

• Complete assigned projects within specified timelines

• Support clients and patients with their requested tasks

• Communicate any areas of concern or potential improvements to Guidehouse management

• Research and address patient inquiries received via telephone and mail

• Update patient demographic data and initiate necessary account modifications

• Ensure account balances are resolved to zero before transferring accounts to an external collections agency

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent experience in lieu of a Diploma / GED

• 1–3+ years of experience in office, business, operations, customer service, or healthcare

• Previous experience with insurance portals is preferred

• Proficient in PC operations within a Windows environment

• Familiarity with desktop applications, including Word and Excel

• Capability to initiate and follow through on various projects

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

• No travel is required

• No security clearance is necessary
